After the grand success that 2021 has been… we are super excited as we start with new achievements in 2022.
To summarize the famous line of Britney Spears, it would be apt to say..”oops, we did it again! Witnessed our first success of 2022.
This time got recognised by one of the most famous travel and tourism fairs in India. The opportunity came to us a month back when we had a word with the organizers of TTF Bangalore.
We presented ourselves in front of thousands of travelers and hoteliers and were pleasantly surprised with the overwhelming response that we received.
It was indeed a super fun session of networking and socializing. But that’s not all… Here comes what we call our moment of pride.
StayFlexi was recognized as the Most Innovative Product in the entire event.
A big thank you to everyone who interacted with us during the event and gave us an opportunity to elaborate on our potential. Stayflexi is one of the pioneers of hotel management automations in the hospitality market. We are incredibly grateful that this has been acknowledged and celebrated by the organizers of TTF Bengaluru 2022.
StayFlexi aimed to showcase exactly how it can make the overall management of a hotel much more seamless in this event. Switching from manual to digital,is what we call the need of the hour.
The tourism sector is still recovering from the immense losses caused by the pandemic. With features such as self check-in and check-out, smart housekeeping and contactless payment, Stayflexi has the potential to revolutionize travel as we know it.
Our next stop? At the largest travel fairs of the Asia-Pacific region. OTM 2022, which is going to be held at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai. If you are going to be nearby, don’t forget to drop by and say hello!
You and I together will make this event a grand success, again!
We’re looking forward to meeting you soon!
Fratelli Vineyards, Maharashtra is an exotic vineyards located in Akluj, just a three and a half hours drive away from Pune. It makes a great weekend getaway for those who want to escape the noise and the chaos of the city. They have beautiful and expansive vineyards where wine-making is guided by the veteran winemaker from Tuscany, Piero Masi.
We are excited to partner with Fratelli Vineyards as its property management system.
The vineyards don’t just boast of their lush greenery. Guests can sample varieties of wine, take a tour through the vineyards and take a look at the wine-making process. They can also enjoy a gourmet Italian meal at the vineyards. The partnership with Stayflexi has proven to be especially beneficial to those guests who want to avoid the weekend rush as flexible bookings make it much easier for them.
Fratelli Vineyards can now take bookings at point of the day using our flex bookings feature. This makes it incredibly easier for working professionals to spend a night or just a couple of hours at the vineyards instead of making a rigid 2-day weekend plan. This has an added benefit for the Fratelli owners. Flexible bookings always lead to an increase in revenue because no rooms ever go empty when hourly bookings are allowed.
Before Stayflexi, Fratelli was having a difficult time managing their overall operations, because inventories were maintained by the hotel staff. With the bookings spread over multiple OTAs, the guaranteed overbooking or double-booking was happening a lot. However, the Auto-Inventory Management feature of Stayflexi ensures that whenever a room is booked, the inventory gets automatically updated. And because of its seamless 2-way sync, this change in inventory is automatically reflected in every OTA platform that Fratelli is listed on.
For example, the rooms of Fratelli Vineyards can currently be booked through MakeMyTrip, TripAdvisor, and ClearTrip. Whenever a guest books a room through any of these, the inventory gets updated instantly. Guests can also book a room directly from the hotel website through Stayflexi.
Fratelli Vineyards has two main products for sale: wine and cheese. The wine, of course, is made under the strict guidance of Piero Masi while the cheese is supplied by Käse. Käse was founded by two women called Namrata and Anuradha who decided to build a company to employ specially-abled women. Rare cheeses like Sangiovese Leaf Aged Cheddar and Syrah Rinsed Gusto is available at Fratelli. Not only do they pair excellently with the wine, but some of these are also rinsed in wine to give them a specific flavor.
Fratelli will also be using the Stayflexi Point Of Sale (POS). With Flex POS, Fratelli will not need a separate restaurant management system. Flex POS makes it extremely easy to run e-commerce outlets on your property. So, currently, guests can browse through the wine and cheese selection from their mobiles and order accordingly. No need to wait at any hotel kiosk. Guests can get the items delivered directly to their rooms. This is obviously a great boon during this pandemic.
Also, payments for the wine and cheese are processed automatically immediately through Stayflexi. There is no need to wait till the check-out process to see what the final bill has amounted to. This also helps the property owners pinpoint the returns coming from their e-commerce sales. This payment processing system and accounting system are inherently a part of Flex POS as well. Fratelli Vineyards no longer needs to use separate software for each of its individual functions.
Flex POS takes almost no time and no expertise to set up even though all new partners are given training on how to use Stayflexi. There is another lesser-known perk in store for Fratelli Vineyards. Stayflexi will provide it with detailed reports on their e-commerce sales so that Fratelli is well-aware of which products sell the best. These reports will help the property improve their e-commerce sales.
Fratelli Vineyards is already benefitting through this partnership and we look forward to a beautiful and healthy business relationship with Fratelli in the future.
And it’s a wrap!
The time has come to bid 2021 goodbye. But what a grand success this year has been!
The hospitality and tourism sector took an enormous blow because of the pandemic. But it is truly a wonder how well it has recuperated from the disaster that was the year 2020. However, some age-old practices had to be revolutionized for the hotel industry to come back to the track. And this is exactly what the focus of StayFlexi had been to stay afloat in these volatile times. From contactless check-ins to smart housekeeping to automated payments, StayFlexi has constantly kept the burning needs of the times in focus. We knew “contactless” was the buzzword of the year. So, that is exactly what we prioritized while developing our newest features.
All our products are co-created along with the hospitality industry. To be honest we could not have achieved half the milestones that we did in 2021 without the overwhelming support from our clients and well wishers. Just as we step into a new, and hopefully healthier year, let’s look back at what we collectively achieved this year.
Stayflexi Milestones of 2021:
- We onboarded 1150 hotels.
- Stayflexi served 22,518 rooms to guests.
- We achieved 1.31 million room nights.
- 458,281 guests enjoyed our services.
- We made our mark in over 13 countries.
- 2021 saw 6 times the growth as was experienced in the earlier years.
Customer behavior has gone through a sea change in recent years. And the aim of StayFlexi has always been to keep up with the changing customer priorities. The best part about our journey through 2021 has been how the hotels have become aware of these changing customer needs as well. Making the guest feel safe in their home away from home and catering to their need for privacy has been our chief priority.
The burgeoning labor cost was also a major concern for the hospitality industry in 2021. One of StayFlexi’s main aims was to lower the staff requirement and to promote versatility among the existing staff members. Hopefully, what we achieved as a team this year is going to leave a lasting impact in the future as well.
After the ruinous effects of the pandemic, the comeback of the hotel and tourism industry has truly been inspirational. We’re proud that we could be a part of this grand comeback along with you.
So, this was 2021 in a nutshell. Looking forward to another year of successful partnership. Happy New Year!
The tourism industry in India has suffered dreadfully during the pandemic. Just the first three quarters of Financial Year-2020 oversaw the job loss of around 21.5 million workers solely in the tourism sector. This data was derived during a government-funded study by the NCAER.
This is why the government’s decision to grant the travel, tourism, and hospitality sector INR 13,766 crore under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Schemes (ECLGS) program is being received as a boon. Not just this, the government, according to G Kishan Reddy (Union tourism, culture, and DoNER minister), has issued more than one lakh loan assistance guarantees via the three stages of ECLGS.
If we look at the detailed breakup of these guarantees offered to the tourism and hospitality sector, we will notice that, according to the Minister, 2732 guarantees were issued for Travel and Tourism companies which amounted to INR 1371 crore. Under the same ECLGS 3.0 phase, the hospitality sector received 3160 guarantees which amounted to INR 5,431 crores.
In the second phase of the ECLGS, 218 guarantee certificates were issued to tourism, hotels, and restaurants. This amounted to INCR 3,404 crores being approved. Out of all the 3 phases, the first phase was responsible for issuing the most number of guarantee certificates. 96,000 certificates were granted all over India which amounted to INR 3,339 crores in terms of loans that were issued.
The Central government has also announced a Loan Guarantee Scheme for Covid Affected Tourism Service Sector (LGSCATSS). Under this scheme, loan assistance up to as much as INR 10 lakh will be given to those who are Travel and Tourism stakeholders approved by the Ministry of Tourism. Additionally, Centre and State government-approved tour guides will be eligible for loan assistance up to INR 1 lakh.
The problem is that despite the financial assistance schemes by the government, the actual reach of these schemes has been limited. People in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sector have consistently complained regarding the indifferent attitude of the financial establishments. According to the people in the industry, these financial institutions have dragged their feet despite the government approvals in providing loans and financial assistance. What remains to be seen is whether the current funds will reach those who have been severely affected by the pandemic.
